Spider-Man
3 FAQ...
Pre
Movie Release FAQ:
Q:
When will Spider-Man 3 be released to theaters?
A: May 4, 2007
----------
Q:
Who is the villain in Spider-Man 3?
A: There are three confirmed villains, Sandman, Venom, and Harry
Osbourne as an offshoot as his dad's Green Goblin character. In
addition, Spider-Man must battle a villain "within" (as shown with
his black Spiderman outfit).
----------
Q:
Why did they change Spider-Man's suit to all black?
A: Don't worry, it's not an official suit change. It is a symbiote that takes
over Spider-Man's suit and is an important part of the storyline in part 3. Spider-Man's
"official" suit is still red.
----------
Q:
Is it true that Peter Parker's uncle, who died in the first Spider-Man,
is back in part 3?
A: Cliff Robertson, who plays Ben Parker, did die in the first
Spider-Man. However, he was seen again during several Spider-Man
3 shoots in New York. His car chase scene was being refilmed, so
likely we will see some flashbacks to what happened in part 1 with
some additional footage. By the way, it may surprise you to know
that in real life Robertson is 80-years old.
----------
Q:
How much did Spider-Man 3 cost to make?
A: Word is that Spider-Man 3 cost $300 million, which would make it the most
expensive movie ever made. Spider-Man 3's costs easily supercede the
previous movies, especially when you take into account the much bigger cast,
including four villains instead of one.
----------
Q:
What is Spider-Man 3 rated?
A: The MPAA rating won't be out until sometime in the first few
months of 2007. It's likely, however, that the movie will be rated
PG-13 as both Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 received a PG-13 rating
for "stylized action violence".
----------
Q:
Which is correct - Spiderman or Spider Man?
A: The correct way to spell it out is Spider-Man, with a hyphen.
----------
Q:
Is it true Stan Lee is making a cameo in Spider-Man 3?
A: Yes. In fact, he even exchanges words with Peter Parker during the cameo
(if the scene isn't edited out).
----------
Q:
Is it true that the character Gwen Stacy appears in Spider-Man
3?
A: Ah, yes... you can never run short of love interests for Peter Parker. Bryce
Dallas Howard, the daughter of director Ron Howard, does have a small role
as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3.
----------
Q:
Is it true that this is Kirsten Dunst's last Spider-Man movie?
A: In an interview with Teen Hollywood, Dunst made it clear that she wants
nothing further to do with Spider-Man after part three and they'd have to pay
her an "exorbitant amount of money" for her to reprise her role as MJ.
