Up until this week fans of The Simpsons have only been given small tidbits of information about the highly anticipated movie, along with a few teaser trailers. While the tease proved to provoke a giggle or two and definitely spark interest, the trailers have not provided any real insight into the film itself - until the most recent trailer, released this week.

With this new trailer, finally, fans get to see what The Simpsons Movie might really have in store. The two minute trailer, aired during the latest episode of The Simpsons television show, revealed many things about the film. Among the many plot points we can look forward to in The Simpsons Movie, moviegoers will witness a power outage all over Springfield, Homer adventuring over snow capped mountains with sled dogs and being chased by an angry mob, Bart turning to the Flanders family, and Smithers being...Smithers.

From the looks of it, The Simpsons Movie has thepotential to be epic. After all, like the trailer states, it is a movie event 18 years in the making.
