Dramatic Thriller Brooklyn Rules will also star Mena Suvari, Freddie Prinze Jr., Scott Caan and Jerry Ferrara.

Alec Baldwin will star in the crime drama penned by Sopranos writer Terence Winter, to be distributed in North Ameria by New York-based City Lights Pictures. Brooklyn Rules is set in 1985 with the mob world as a backdrop, focusing on three lifelong friends whose different ambitions threaten to shake their enduring bond. The thriller will be released theatrically by City Lights Pictures in the late spring of this year.

"Movies for me are about stories and characters, and I was moved by the drama, the conflicts between the characters, and the ever-present danger and suspense," said Danny Fisher, CEO of City Lights Pictures. "I especially appreciated that Brooklyn Rules is a dramatic thriller that is driven by the dilemma of its characters, and features outstanding performances."

In addition to the acquisition of Brooklyn Rules, City Lights Pictures also financed David Wain's comedy The Ten, a hit at Sundance and recently acquired by THINKFilm for theatrical release this summer.
