Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, the second of a three part Pirates series, sold millions its first day out on DVD.
Walt Disney Pictures’ Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest made a huge impact in the DVD marketplace on Tuesday by selling 5 million copies in the US in its first day of release to DVD.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest was released as both a deluxe 2-disc Special Edition DVD set and as a single-disc DVD. The single-disc DVD features screenwriter audio commentary and never-before-seen “Bloopers of the Caribbean.” The Special Edition features all the single disc bonus material, plus:

- a behind-the-scenes documentary
- a Captain Jack featurette
- a sword-fighting featurette
- “Creating The Kraken” on the film’s sea beast
- “Fly On The Set” – an on location view of filming

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. The movie’s opening weekend remains the biggest in box-office history and is the highest-grossing Disney movie of all time, bringing in more than $423 million at the US box office
