There were a wide variety of winners for the 2005 Critics' Choice awards which aired last night.
And the winner for Best Picture is: Brokeback Mountain. An ecstatic Ang Lee also took home the Best Director’s award for the same movie which was awarded 3 Critics’ Choice Awards total. Among the other winners were a myriad of films including Capote and the Johnny Cash biopic, Walk the Line, with two awards, and even young Freddie Highmore got the Best Young Actor’s award for his role as Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The awards were held on Monday night, January 9, 2006, in the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium while the celebrities guests dined over dinner. Here is the complete list of winers.
