Natalie Portman and Others Drive Hybrid to Oscars |

Oscar® Nominees Leonardo DiCaprio, Natalie Portman, and Morgan Freeman will participate in Oscars ‘Red Carpet – Green Cars’ Hybrid Car Drive Up.
Along with DiCaprio, Portman, and Freeman, Academy Award® presenters Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim Robbins, Orlando Bloom, Robin Williams, Salma Hayek, and Penelope Cruz are planning to arrive at the awards show in fuel-efficient Toyota Prius hybrids instead of less fuel-efficient limos.
The actors are teaming up with Global Green USA with hope that the Hybrid Car Drive Up will, according to Global Green USA, effectively demonstrate how to take simple yet powerful steps to decrease the dependence on fossil fuels, reduce air pollution, and stem climate change.
Salma Hayek, actor and presenter at this year’s Academy Awards® explains, “With global warming threatening us all, driving a fuel efficient car like a hybrid is something that everybody can do to protect our planet. I am proud to do my part: I personally own and drive a hybrid car. And I love it!"
The 77th Annual Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on Sunday, February 27th.
