Mike Myers, film actor, producer, and screenwriter, first made a nation-wide impression in the late eighties with his comedic performance on the late-night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live.  During his six year stint on SNL Myers brought to life such characters as Deiter, Simon, and Wayne of Wayne’s World, a skit that eventually developed into a two part movie deal for Myers and his co-star Dana Carvey.

Along with the hugely successful Wayne’s World series, Myers also starred in films including So I Married an Axe Murderer, the Austin Powers movies, The Cat in the Hat, and as the voice of Shrek in both Shrek and Shrek 2.  Myers is well known for his character performances, often playing several character roles in one movie alone.

After graduating high school in 1982, Myers immediately joined Toronto’s Second City Comedy Ensemble, a stepping-stone to his career launching SNL gig.  While primarily a comedic actor, Myers has stretched his dramatic acting legs in films such as 54.
