Jude Law is not only a leading man in several feature films, he is also partners with actress/wife Sadie Frost, Jonny Lee Miller, Sean Pertwee and Ewan McGregor in Natural Nylon, a production company that is currently planning several major films.

 

Law played the role of playboy Dickie Greenleaf in The Talented Mr. Ripley, which gained the actor both an Academy Award nomination and the BAFTA award for Best Supporting Actor opposite Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon.

 

Law was also seen starring in eXistenZ, opposite Jennifer Jason Leigh and Willem Dafoe. He also won several awards, including the London Film Critics Circle Award and Evening Standard Award, for his performance as the title character in Wilde, opposite Stephen Fry and Vanessa Redgrave.

 

Law began his American film career in 1997 in the movies Gattaca, opposite Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, and Clint Eastwood’s Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, in which he starred opposite Kevin Spacey and John Cusack.  Other films include The Wisdom of Crocodiles, Love, Honour and Obey and Enemy At the Gates.

 

Law won the Theatre World Award and a Tony nomination for Outstanding Newcomer for his work with Kathleen Turner and Eileen Atkins in the Broadway play "Indiscretions."  He also starred in the same play in London, for which he received the Ian Charleson Award for Outstanding Newcomer.

 

As a youth, he worked with the National Youth Music Theatre and has appeared in several productions in the West End and at the Royal National Theatre.

 

Law lives in London with his wife, actress Sadie Frost, and their three children.
