Rupert Grint is perhaps best known for his role as the youngest Weasly brother, Ron, in the Harry Potter films. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was Rupert’s first professional acting job but he has already received a British Critic’s Circle nomination for Best Newcomer.
After the success of the first Harry Potter films, Rupert has gone onto star as a young madcap professor in Thunderpants alongside Simon Callow and Stephen Fry.
The eldest of five children, Rupert’s previous acting experience was in school productions and with the local theatre drama group. Some of the productions included Annie in which he was a the gangster Rooster, Peter Pan, and as the role of Ruplestiltskin in Grimm Tales.
