Eva Gaelle Green was born one of a pair of twins in Paris, France, on July 5th 1980. Her fraternal twin sister is named Joy and they are daughters to French actress Marlène Jobert. Her father is Swedish. Green spent three years attending the Eva St Paul School in Paris and then attended the Webber Douglas acting school in London.

Eva Green’s first film was The Dreamers in 2003 where she plays the role of “Isabelle.” Her next film role came in 2004 in the French movie Arsène Lupin (2004) where she plays “Clarisse de Dreux-Soubise.”

Her Hollywood stardom really took off when she was in the 2005 film Kingdom of Heaven staring next to Orlando Bloom and Liam Neeson. She plays the queen Sibylla.

So far there are three more films set to be released in 2006 and 2007 with Green on the character roster, but most notably (or perhaps it should be most “notoriously”) is that Green will play the Bond girl Vesper Lynd in the upcoming James Bond 007 film Casino Royale set to be released in late 2006. She will be playing opposite a brand new Bond, Daniel Craig.

Among the other films she’s due to star in include Zhivaya riba (2006) and In the Country of the Last Things (2007).
