 In Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yugi and his best friends Joey, Tristan, and Tea share a love for a popular new game Dual Monsters. After the Battle City Tournament an ancient evil being awakens deep down below the deserts of Egypt. This evil being is Anubis, previously defeated centuries back by Yugi’s alter ego, the ancient Pharaoh. Anubis has returned for revenge against those who defeated him and, using the power of the Eighth Millennium Item, he is determined to destroy Yugi and to take over the world.
