X-Men: The Last Stand (X-Men 3) |

The X-Men are back in their final chapter to be the heroes in a world that doesn’t understand their mutant appearances in X-Men: The Last Stand. These unique men are faced with the choice of giving up their powers and becoming human, or remaining who they were born to be.
In The Last Stand the characters Angel and The Beast are introduced. These two new X-Men help face evolution in their former compatriot, Jean Gray. The Dark Phoenix brings Jean back to life, but now she is not only a danger to herself, but to the rest of the world. Searching for a way to stop her, a possible cure is developed to save the planet, but also, in its course it will wipe out genetic mutations and mutants. Led by Professor Charles Xavier and his school of gifted students, the X-Men must fight not only Jean Gray’s incredible powers, and Magneto’s evil Brotherhood, but also a world that fears the gifts of these extraordinary beings.
Filmed in Vancouver, Canada, X-Men: The Last Stand will be coming out in May 2006. Zak Penn is back for his 3rd time as writer, now accompanied by Simon Kinberg. Brett Ratner will be replacing Bryan Singer (from the first two movies) for the direction of this 3rd sequel. The film also goes by the name X-Men 3 and X3.
