 In What a Girl Wants, 19-year-old Daphne (Amanda Bynes), who has been raised in New York City by her mother (Kelley Preston), a professional singer, travels to London to find her long-lost father (Colin Firth). She finds him to be an influential aristocratic politician. Revealing him as her father may cause a scandal and cost him the election. Daphne struggles to prove that love can conquer all, even in a society where her unique style clashes with her father’s high society standards.
