 In the lively comedy Kicking & Screaming, Will Ferrell (Old School, Winter Passing) stars as Phil Weston, an average Joe who has had to put up with his extremely competitive father Buck (Robert Duvall) all of his life. When Phil makes the decision to coach his son’s soccer team, he has to compete against his competition driven father. With Buck teaching his own young son on the top team of the league and Phil coaching his ten year old son’s league, the father and son pair find themselves going to extraordinary measures to win the game and trophy.
Kicking & Screaming exposes the cutthroat, competitive world that is little league soccer. Ferrell and Duvall are joined on screen by Kate Walsh, and Musetta Vander with Mike Ditka also appearing.
Directed by Jesse Dylan (American Wedding, How High), Kicking & Screaming is writen by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick (The Santa Clause, Space Jam). The film is produced by Jimmy Miller and Charles Roven with Judd Apatow and Daniel Lupi serving as executive producers.
