In the comedy King's Ransom, wealthy and arrogant businessman Malcolm King's (Anthony Anderson) soon-to-be ex-wife (Kellita Smith) has plans to take him for everything he's worth in their divorce settlement. In a struggle to keep his fortune and not loose everything to her, Malcolm plots out his own kidnapping, recruiting the help of his dim-witted mistress (Regina Hall) and her brother (Charles Murphey), who happens to be an ex-con.
Malcolm's kidnapping plans go hilariously awry when he finds out that he is not the only one that has plans to kidnap and hold him for ransom.
