Down In The Valley

Down in the Valley tells the story of Harlan Carruthers (Edward Norton), a charming guy with delusions about being a cowboy, who is much more at home in Monument Valley than in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles area. When Harlan randomly meets bored and restless teenager, Tobe (Evan Rachel Wood), both of their lives are changed.

Harlan sees in Tobe purity and innocence that is so hard to find in the harsh streets of Los Angeles and Tobe can't help but be drawn to Harlan's charm and romantic heart. The two pursue a pattionate romance, despite their huge different in age and background and the warnings of Tobe's father, Wade (David Morse). But, when their romance becomes too intense for Tobe, things take a sudden dangerous turn as she finds out that Harlan is not at all what he appeared to be.
