The Brothers Grimm

The Brothers Grimm tells the story of two brothers, Jake and Will Grimm who have a passion for collecting folklore. The brothers have made a career out of going around to different villages and making villagers believe the two are riding their village from enchanted creatures.

Their game is so believable that Napoleon’s French army call them in to investigate a haunted forest where several girls have never returned from. Their bluff is called and what they actually discover is an evil and immortal sorceress that is full of mythological powers and their story becomes one similar to the fables the Grimm brothers would gain fame from later on. During their battle with the evil sorceress, they experience and encounter several of the famously fabled situations and characters of the Grimm Fairy Tales.

Based on an original screenplay by screenwriter Ehren Kruger, The Brothers Grimm, directed by Terry Gilliam, stars Matt Damon, Heath Ledger, Peter Stormare, Jonathan Pryce and Monica Bellucci.
