Bewitched

In Bewitched, tall, charming Jack Wyatt (Will Ferrell) is one of many actors in California’s San Fernando Valley that is trying to get his career back on track.  He thinks the solution to his slowing career is an updated version of the beloved 1960’s situation comedy “Bewitched,” remade into a starring vehicle for himself in the role of mortal Darrin.

In his search for a woman to play the role of Samantha, Jack finds Isabel (Nicole Kidman).  He is immediately attracted to her and her nose, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the nose of Elizabeth Montgomery, who played Samantha in the original TV version of “Bewitched.”  Jack is convinced that Isabel could and should play the witch Samantha in his new series.

What Jack doesn’t realize is that Isabel is an actual witch.  She is in California trying to reinvent herself. A naive, good-natured witch, she is determined to disavow her supernatural powers and lead a "normal" life.  Isabel is attracted to Jack, seeing him as the quintessential mortal man with whom she can settle down and lead the normal life she so desires.

Columbia Pictures Presents A Lucy Fisher and Douglas Wich/Penny Marshall Production Bewitched starring Nicole Kidman, Will Ferrell, Shirley MacLaine and Michael Caine.
