Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl In 3D |
|
From Robert Rodriguez, creator of the well known Spy Kids series and Sin City, comes the three-dimensional family film, The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl In 3D. Robert Rodriguez, both writer and director of the film, relied on the intergalactic journeys and superhero stories created in the mind of his own sven year-old son Racer Max to boost his creativity while developing the film.
In The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl In 3D, ten-year-old Max (Cayden Boyd), a young outcast, turns to his own fantasy world in an attempt to escape the problems of dealing with parents (David Arquette and Kristin Davis) and mean bullies at school. Max begins to feel that his imagination, full of unique characters, exciting adventures, and unbelievable secret powers, may be more real than others would have him believe.
His whole world changes when Max blasts off on a mission to Planet Drool where Shark Boy (Taylor Lautner) -- a kid raised by sharks after being lost at sea -- and Lava Girl (Taylor Dooley) – a volcanic beauty who emits leaping flames and red-hot rocks – teach him all of the astonishing wonders that live in his imagination. They show him a world in which the Train of Thought can whisk you off to the mouth-watering Land of Milk and Cookies.
Planet Drool may seem like the perfect place for kids, complete with huge roller coasters and bright colors, but Max soon finds it to be not all fun and games. Max crosses paths with the shocking Mr. Electric (George Lopez) and Minus (Jacob Davich) and finds out that they are trying to get rid of all dreams forever. Shark Boy and Lava Girl are in danger and only Max can guide them by using his imagination to plot their escape from Mr. Electric’s Lair. Max learns how to turn his dreams into reality to try and help his new superhero friends.
