The soundtrack to the movie North Country, which opened in theaters on October 21st, features a brand new song by Bob Dylan along with classic Dylan tracks, covers, and more.

Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax has released North Country - Music From The Motion Picture, an album of songs featured in the Warner Bros. Motion Picture, North Country, starring Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand, Sissy Spacek, and Woody Harrelson. North Country, directed by Niki Caro (Whale Rider), opened in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 21.

The soundtrack to the film, North Country -- Music From The Motion Picture, centers on the songs of Bob Dylan, who was born and raised in the Minnesota Iron Range. The North Country soundtrack premieres a brand-new Dylan song, "Tell Ol' Bill" along with other classic Dylan songs. Other Dylan recordings featured on the album include "Lay Lady Lady," "Sweetheart Like You," and "Do Right To Me Baby (Do Unto Others)" as well as two rare covers of Dylan songs: "Girl Of The North Country," a 1968 recording by 12-string guitarist Leo Kottke, and "Paths Of Victory," a seldom heard early Dylan composition, performed by the indie singer/songwriter Cat Power.

Other recordings on the album include the classic songs "Werewolves Of London" by Warren Zevon, "Bette Davis Eyes" Kim Carnes, "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me)" by the Bellamy Brothers and "Baby Don't Get Hooked On Me" by Mac Davis. Rounding out the soundtrack are three pieces ("North Country," "A Saturday In My Classroom," and "Standing Up") from the film's score by composer Gustavo Santaolalla.
